Feature & Follow Friday #8: To Finish or Not to Finish? That is the Question.

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event/hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
It’s a great way to find new blogs and make new friends!

This week's Question:

How do you handle a book you don't like?
Do you DNF or do you power through?

I flounce.  Forget powering through a book.  If I don't like it within the first few chapters?
It goes directly into my Did Not Finish pile.

Life is too short to waste on crappy books.

  1. I agree! Usually I will give a book 50-100 pages before I DNF if I'm not enjoying it. I used to power through but I no longer have the time and it turned reading into a chore. There are too many books on my tbr pile for me to feel guilty and I'm picky about what I read, so only have 1 DNF so far!

    1. I'm impressed that you only have one DNF! I usually have one a month. :)

  2. I'm definitely starting to think that I should start DNFing books. I always push through. I'm a bloglovin follower!

    1. I used to push through. Then I realized that I'm never going to finish my TBR, so I had no time to waste on books I didn't love. :)

  3. I agree! I try and finish a book, but sometimes, life's too short and I don't like it!

  4. I do that, unless the premise is really interesting and I think there might be potential. But usually it still doesn't last long and I find something better to read!

  5. I hate to not finish a book. It does happen occasionally though. I always give it my best effort before giving up.
