New York Times bestselling author David Levithan tells the based-on-true-events story
of Harry and Craig, two 17-year-olds who are about to take part in a
32-hour marathon of kissing to set a new Guinness World Record—all of
which is narrated by a Greek Chorus of the generation of gay men lost to
AIDS.
While the two increasingly dehydrated and sleep-deprived boys are locking lips, they become a focal point in the lives of other teen boys dealing with languishing long-term relationships, coming out, navigating gender identity, and falling deeper into the digital rabbit hole of gay hookup sites—all while the kissing former couple tries to figure out their own feelings for each other.
This follow-up to the bestselling Every Day showcases David's trademark sharp-witted, warm-hearted tales of teenage love, and serves as a perfect thematic bookend to David's YA debut and breakthrough, Boy Meets Boy, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2013.

I don't know what it is that I love about YA m/m literature, but I do. Maybe it's the fact that it's so awesome to see people freely embracing (pun not intended) the genre.
What are you waiting on?
I saw him two weeks ago in NY and remembered him talking about this book, it sounds very interesting so I just might grab a copy when it comes out. Also, I'm like you, I adore YA m/m, adult too, actually, any M/M. I just love the cute romance. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous that you got to see DL speak! I absolutely adore him. :)
DeleteReally nice pick! I'll keep an eye out for it.
ReplyDeleteHave you read Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg? It was just released a couple of weeks ago, and was absolutely wonderful. My first foray into this genre.
Thanks for stopping by my WoW earlier. :)

If you like sweet boy-boy relationships, DL isn't to be missed. There's only one book that I've been "eh" about; I love the rest of them.
